Andersen Karting Is In Action This Weekend
At Rotax Pan American Challenge Event
At CalSpeed Karting Center
PALMETTO, Fla., Sept. 29 - Wes Phillips will be striving to keep his spot
for the Rotax World Final in La Conca, Italy in November while Andy Dunne
will be trying to join him on Team USA for that event as the pair represents
Andersen Karting at the Rotax Pan American Challenge's final event of 2010
this weekend at CalSpeed Karting Center at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.
Phillips, of Bradenton, Fla., will be competing in the DD2 class while
Dunne, of Westmont, Ill., will be in the Max Senior division. Both will be
driving CRG karts.
"Andy will be attempting to qualify for the Rotax Grand Final by taking the
second of two available spots through the Pan American series, while I'll
be looking to keep my seat and further develop my knowledge of the CRG
chassis for the Grand Final," noted Phillips, the Palmetto, Fla.-based team's
director of competition karting. "The CRG chassis is mandated for the Grand
Final.
"If Andy were to qualify for the Grand Final as well, that would be two
drivers from Andersen Karting who would occupy seats on the USA team, with a
third [former] team driver, Andrew Palmer, also set to compete in the Junior
category at the famed La Conca facility," Phillips noted.
